True and shocking confessions and a do-over!

COVID-19 blazed through my house, and each member of my family was a testament to what a weird and freaky lottery COVID is. The youngest in the house (15) had cold like symptoms, one of my sons tested positive but had no symptoms, Mr. Groove Barre had flu-like symptoms for 3 days, and I had a cold coupled with breathlessness for over 2 weeks. My cardio is still suffering one month later.

What is barre, and more importantly, is it effective?

Barre is a mash-up of ballet, Pilates and yoga. Still confused? Let’s break that down.

Nope. No Dance Experience. Not a Dancer.

This is why at Groove Barre, we strongly emphasize NO DANCE EXPERIENCE required. It’s true that some of the moves we do are ballet inspired, but trust me, you do not need dance experience. Groove Barre is for the non-dancers, the dancers, and the secret dancers too.

I’d love to be able to answer that question definitively, but the truth is, I can’t. What I can do is share some articles with you, and the opinions of health experts. I can also share with you what I’m doing at Groove Barre to support our joint safety. And I’ll share this with you too: I’m afraid to get it wrong. The worst thing that could happen is to have an outbreak traced back to our studio, so I’m doing every thing in my power to prevent that from happening.
